A tribute to those classic Marshall amps from the mid 1960's. There's nothing like a Plexi for that great rock crunch.

This amp is mainly based on the JTM 45. It's not an exact reproduction, though. Elements from several JTM models and a few of Mitch's own ideas were used to create an amp with its own character while retaining a lot of the tone of the originals.

Like Clapton's famous Bluesbreaker amp, it uses KT66 output tubes. These were credited with providing "a round, bell like tone" to the originals.

Power amp: 45 watts, Push/Pull Class AB with Presence control
Preamp: 2 channels (Normal and Bright) each with their own Volume control, common Bass, Middle and Treble controls
     Power amp: matched pair Gold Lion KT66
     Preamp: 2 TungSol 12AX7
     Phase Inverter: 1 TungSol 12AX7
Rectification: silicon diode bridge
Cabinet: 3/4" Baltic birch plywood, black Tolex covering with gold colored piping
Chassis: 11 gauge aluminum, gold Plexiglass face plate and back plate (it wouldn't be a Plexi without those!)
